Yeah. First home game will definitely be over 30,000, can’t wait to take my little boy to his first match in August. His sister and his mum will be much less bothered but I’m dragging the buggers with me anyway :lol:

The new boys sound keen to re-introduce the Fan Zone with any luck they will put an emphasis on families and younger fans, already plenty options for blokes/lads pre-match. They also mentioned getting people into the ground a bit sooner and improving the pre-match entertainments (hopefully the match itself too like).

The club posted over a week ago theyd sold 18k didnt they?

At the rate theyve been going id expect it to be well over 19 k at the minute

It was 20,000, which is why the new ownership challenged us to beat that total.

I suppose that reminds me that those who are turning away from the club just don't make themselves known on these kinds of threads obviously, they hide away in silence.

If we only start off with 24,000 crowds next season, that means there are roughly 13,000 people or so still sitting on the sidelines and won't get involved unless the club is in the Premier League. Sad but true.

I've done the same this afternoon mate. I cancelled my dd at the end of the season after threatening to do it for the last 3 years. Bloody gave in. 2 more to the total.

The new owners seem a breath of fresh air to everyone, and have cheered a lot of people up, including myself. They talk the talk, so to speak. By the time the transfer window shuts, we'll know if they walk the walk. I'm hoping it's going to be an exciting summer of transfers, hoping rather than expecting. Having supported Sunderland my whole life, I've learned to be very cautious ;)
