2 Results Away From Europe

League places won't go below 8th.
I believe it will only go to 8th if Villa win the Europa AND finish 5th. For some bizarre reason, finishing 4th and winning the Europa will not give England another CL spot.

At one point, it looked like Brentford would be better off losing to Liverpool in order to help them finish above Villa. Looking at the table, I don’t think that’s the case any more.

Not such a big ask, they’re a bin fire at the minute
They are , and it shouldn't matter.

Man United are one of the most in form sides at the moment and we outplayed them. And we've just beat a decent Everton side.

Other than man city or arsenal, we should be looking at having a very good chance of beating anyone at home

1 - We have to beat Chelsea

2 - Either of the following to happen -
Man U beat Brighton at Brighton
Or
Brentford Lose or Draw at Anfield

BELIEVE!!

Another competition for you to drop all of our best players in in the line up threads ;)

On a serious point I do think once you hit European competition it’s the point that rotation in cups becomes necessary (it was stupid this year and cost us against Huddersfield).

New manager on his way in
Players playing for their future or putting themselves in the shop window
We don’t need to undersell ourselves but nor should we assume their past 2 or 3 months detracts from the fact they have some very formidable players.
They played very well against city in the second half and were beaten by a freak goal.
It should be a very competitive game
Just hope Omar is back and RLB forgets he ‘must’ select Hume as a starter

One of Chelsea’s problems is that their buying strategy mean they have to give their signings long contract terms so they don’t have to fight for their future. Their future is guaranteed for several years on very high wages. If the club want to move them on, they have to be compensated.
I’ve heard so many podcasts on this topic where players up their levels when they are fighting for a new contract but drop off after it has been achieved. It’s just human nature.
So yes they have some super players, but I’m not convinced they are trying at the level they could.
