1st TEST :: New Zealand v England

Bethell impressed me in the white ball stuff, so lets hope he does well

The best part of it is that in FCC he strikes at 48. So not destructive at all (yet)
Even better, he’s only played 3 first class innings above number 6. 2 at 5, 1 at 4

Mental stuff

Boo. It’ll have to do
If you know anyone with TNT Sports they will likely have access to watch via Discovery+. You can share your login as lent mine to my pal and FIL.

You can watch on two devices at any one time. Can watch the game as live which is ideal when playing either of the antipodean sides, can sleep and watch the next day!

Only wish SKY could provide the same feature!

Cheers but I don’t know of anyone sadly

I’m ok with the radio to be fair and at least TNT put up some highlights

I thought he looked a much more accomplished player than Cox in particular and a couple of times appeared to play the situation too, he wasn't just blazing away all the time. On that limited viewing I can see why they see something in him but they're really throwing him in at the deep end.

f***ing hell what a moron if that's the case.

He was in India in march how's he let that lapse

As well as three spinners, bizarrely, there was no cover for a top three that contained a player battling for consistency in Ollie Pope. Given he was also the back-up wicketkeeper, something since activated until Durham’s Ollie Robinson can get a new passport processed and fly over, it looks a fair old oversight.

Unbelievable. What a divvy.

Like I know he'd not have been sat hoping Smith/Cox would both be unavailable but surely you would have your passport ready and avoid booking anything important for the Pakistan/NZ series on the off chance.

I’m slightly amazed he’s not playing white ball cricket somewhere over the winter to be honest

What an utterly unserious collection of individuals this current crop of England cricketers are. Unbelievable.

Wonder if he knows that you can't get through passport control on "vibes"?
