1st Ashes Test - Brisbane

Watch first session of all Brisbane test (getting through lunch is a killer!) then listen to TMS semi-conscious through the night. Attending Adelaide days 3-5 and all of Perth test. Watch most of Boxing Day test on Sky. Ashes retained by then so sack off Sydney

My limit will probably be the first hour or so of Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney. I start work at 5am most mornings so I'm either going to be knackered after pulling an all nighter or pissed off at missing everything that's going on.

Could be the closest series in a while this, I can see another Brisbane draw on the cards, I can't see anything other than an Aussie win in Perth, but Adelaide and Melbourne should suit us quite well, so hopefully we can win those 2 and have the Ashes in the bag before the new year (again).

last series i streamed the coverage on my laptop and projected it onto the bedroom wall. Worked perfect as I'd watch the first session then doze on and off through the rest of the night.

now i have a 3 week old son, so will happily do the feeds during the night.

watch cricket and earn brownie points with the wife :-)

A few lads I know done this in the last Aussie Ashes series.

On the brownie point note - we've just getten a 9 week old puppy so I'll volunteer to take him out for a shite and stupid o'clock and me and him can stick the test on.

With regards to the steaming - that's pretty much what I did (apart from I sat the laptop on the bed) and kept dozing off during the quiet spells.

Still fucked the next day but I'm starting to think that with Christmas coming and a fortnight off graft I can probably recoup the sleep then. It was a formula that worked for me last time. I'll just need copious amounts of coffee and red bull throughout the following working day!

what if he doesnt like cricket?

Finn doing his best to get his nose in front for the final bowling slot with 8 in the last game, It will come down to wickets v economy. I'm guessing the selectors may go for the latter and pick Tremlett.

tremlett might well get the nod, but he's done nothing to deserve it.

Picked simply on past glories.[DOUBLEPOST=1384616327][/DOUBLEPOST]Could be worth a listen, tomorrow at noon. 5 Live.

I would go for Rankin. I think he's got something about him. However non of our 3rd seamers have done enough to deserve the nod. They will probably pick Tremlett due to his economy rate and performances out here last time. He isn't the same bowler though.

Is the weather forecast not horrendous and they are worrying most of the first test could be rained off ?? or did i dream this

amusingly [or not] we find ourselves in a position where anderson, broad, onions would be the best selection.

taking into account the lack of turn and the form of our trio of beanpoles we are going to be relying on anderson and broad to take all the wickets in the series, at least until bresnan returns - who himself is nowt special either.

Certainly not wall to wall sunshine according to this . . .
