Right on cue!

So tell me about these young people and their daring protests ...... what was it, a silent protest in you bedroom?

Dare speak up  ....... what courage from these wonderful young people who *'dare speak up'.

* Translates as 'whinging on a chat forum'

i can't be arsed to read through it so can someone give me an abridged reason why this post is bumped? Or is it just a case of the usual self righteous posters slamming people for being rightly pissed off?

We have a winner

Seriously, I was specifically instructed to bookmark the thread and I'm polite, as you know, so felt obliged to bump it.

I've noticed the OP has a tendency to always bump his own threads ..... he must have forgotten about this one.

Well it isnt likely to be bumped because something has been organised is it. You lot cant be arsed.

Aye like its only Mags who protest I'm sure fans of Man Utd and Liverpool have recently even Arsenal

You's lads just sit back and blame Moyes for the mess the club is in
Everton as well they're masters at protesting.

Unfortunately the young ones are not as motivated as we used to be... and forums have a habit of stopping protests rather than helping them due to the constant whining of people saying we'd look like mags if we do.

Reiver,

You’re a canny poster, you’ve highlighted how bad it was when we went down to the old 3rd division. If it was that bad, you wouldn’t want it to happen again. God forbid anyone protesting against the club at its current plight, you always make a claim “let’s not derail this thread”

Let’s not derail this one, you don’t like it, leave it be.

Reiver would hate a protest simply for the fact that he seems to believe anyone protesting disagrees with him and anyone who doesn’t by default then agrees with him. In essence with reiver it’s all about him.

My point is that no one has protested ...... only talked about protesting.

BTW I've always said how great it was in the 3rd division, one of my favourite ever seasons ...... the difference was that people weren't so precious then.

Not at all.

People seem to equate with moaning on the internet with protesting ...... it isn't, that's my point.

Let’s leave it that.

Everyone has their own views.

I actually like Reiver as a poster. But he seems to be against younger posters than him having a form of protest.

Precisely and all of my posts are in keeping with the topic of the thread ..... don't really see any reason I should be told to 'leave it'.

I'm quite open to your views, and anyone else's, but it's a forum for debate mate.

But the point is you have gone out of the way to belittle anyone’s attempts at organising it and also stated that it’s pointless anyway as well as trying to say that relegation wouldn’t be a bad thing, and people shouldn’t be too precious.

If it wasn’t about you, you wouldn’t be so vocal in trying to pour cold water on anything that doesn’t match your views

Yes basically that. Fans being slammed because they care.

Strange.

But isn't that because clubs are no longer part of the community? Sky might have boosted Premier league soccer internationally but it has destroyed it locally.

Have a look at any of his posts on here. Pretty much any one who disagrees with he goes out of his way to follow/ bring up their old posts etc.

There’s nothing the matter with people wanting to protest, either online or in person. People are totally free to do what they want.

Possibly, but at the Murray Out protests at the gates there didn't seem the need to organise things as much. I was the one who got the very big Murray Out banner printed. I just got it out of the back of the car after the match and people who where going home turned around and helped out. There where a few people on here who arranged to go to the gates and the rest is history.

Now people will say it didn't make a difference etc but what I'm saying back then is there was a weight of opinion that just took over.

The problem with more people trying to organise it online is that all of a sudden you need to provide a 5 year viable business plan, and also drive the new buyers to the ground before your protests are seen as viable. If you cant provide a guarantee of funds then you shouldn't bother.
