19/11/16 - 5pm - Protest at the Murray Gates

Not open for further replies.

1) How do you explain that protests in the past have sped up owners selling?

2) If we don't spend any money in January there will be protests as bad as under Murray. Bookmark this thread etc. but people have had enough.

Humble pie!!!!

For what's it's worth you need to realise that this message board doesn't and never has reflected the mood of most safc fans so trying to organise something on here is a waste of time.

You'd be better starting a protest yourself after the next game and people would join in

I'm not sure everybody did disagree that Short is bad for the club

However most agreed that OP just wasn't up to leading a protest

OP digging this thread up from the dead just to say "I told you so" is a good way to prove it

Just dont turn up to the next home game that will give him the message

Some shit comments on here.

So short is absolutely destroying our club and we should just do absolutely nothing in case we look like mags?

The truth is that some still believe the bollocks rolled out by the media machine (responsible for making you believe that our shirts are about our fantastic history so spend 50 quid) that short has sunken 300 million into us because he cares.

He's thrown money into the club because of his own mistakes and piss poor management of the club, paid out millions in paying up contracts of successive failures of managers and CEOs and allowed our assesses to either be sold under value, loaned to reduce the wages or given away whilst other massive wage earners are stuck at the club rotting away with no value.

The same ones who won't protest are the ones waiting for Vaughn to come good, Kone to regain his form or like the idea of two absolute wank keepers playing against each other as competition.

Short needs to go. He needs to know that he isn't welcome and that he should be drummed out of sunderland taking that Scottish hatchet man with him.

The obsession with mags on this board is pityful.

According to this board we should be happy with our owner when in reality the circus owner should be crucified prom the penshaw monument. Now that would be history making and in 20 years time we could sell t shirts at 100 - it's part of our history.

Nobody is happy
Some don't think protesting will change anything, that's all.

That might have been tickets sold it certainly wasn't 'attendance' - I'd say there was 26k max.
Please Kid, call me Steve;). Interesting point though as there were several postings on here adding of number of tickets sold. Now I can understand there will be a few no-shows, but these figure are way off the mark when we consider they didn't include the travelling support.

We can't even get the crowd figures right:lol:

People don't though. There was a bloke on the radio post-match criticising fans for not protesting. Well f***ing protest yourself then.

Short does need to go. But to do that, someone needs to buy him out. All the protests in the world don't change.

I know the OP thinks a protest will make him reduce his money. NEVER. HAPPENING. I heard the Fulwell73 lot had the deal done - and Short upped his price at the last minute, and by serious money. Doesn't sound like someone that will be scared of a bedsheet or two.

I don't know anyone that wants Short to stay - rightly, we're all fucked off. But there's no getting away from the fact that, however shit his tenure, he pumped in a lot of money. I personally think we'd have been more fucked without him, and a lot sooner. I think he came into this with good intentions, and made a lot of bad decisions on the way - but people calling him maggot and stuff? f***ing hell, man, get a grip. Sure he's as fucked off as we are. Football's all about fine margins - if Big Sam had stayed, we'd look very different now.

I still want him out - but we also have to be very careful about who comes in. People forget that - they think there's a incredibly wealthy saviour just around the corner, and that scares the shit out of me - if he goes, who comes in?

Will you f***ing simpletons pipe down with the whole "you won't protest just because you don't want to look like the mags".

It's getting f***ing insufferably boring hearing that now. Especially considering that the huge majority who are giving their opinion against protesting are saying it's because it is useless and not worthwhile.

Honestly man change the record about it always being about the mags. It isn't.

It's like selling a done up mini

You bought it for 10k. Had all the bits done to it but they've broken and the engine needed doing 7 times It now has cost you 20k

You can't sell it for 20k, 15k even what you paid.

You need to be realistic.

No one is gunna buy the thing. It's fucked. The only chance you have if someone is willing to take a gamble at a stupid price.

It's not happening so it's rotting on the drive.
