I actually agree with you to a certain extant and your wishes are noble. Murray, a local fella live in jersey, the irish were dotted all over the place.

But the next owner will not live in Sunderland or the north east and will probably live in London or another big city so he can keep an eye on his other business that made him his billions so he could buy a premier league football club.

If we were at the top of the premier league 12 points ahead you wouldnt give a jot where Ellis Short is.

We were behaving like total mags when we protested against Murray in the 90's and 2006. Villa were behaving like mags when they protested last season. It is absolutely f***ing pathetic that some of our fans are so obsessed with Newcastle/ not looking like them that they associate an act of protest, which has occurred at football clubs for decades and decades with Newcastle.

If I suggested wearing gravy stained Mag tops, dressing up in costumes and waving shitty bed sheets I would get your point. But the idea that because Newcastle fans protested Ashley over the course of a few years that Sunderland now can never protest their owner, even when we have the 11th highest debt in Europe, are being mismanaged, facing relegation and potential bankruptcy is absolutely pathetic and I cannot get my head around the mentality that would rather sit back and do nothing but be able to say "we don't look like the mags".

Exactly this. I don't understand why there isn't a f***ing sit in on the pitch, never mind a protest outside the ground.

Sadly apathy has set in. Some blame Moyes, who could hardly name a first team player on his bench. It's either his fault, and that of previous managers, or it's Short. Not sure I agree with a protest but if Short wants to sell he wants to get a move on and fuck off

And I don't blame people for that tbh, but its always the case with our fans. Never want to cause a scene because we dont want to be likened to those up the roads.

That and just because we feel hopeless. We can't moan at the manager because he's got fuck all to work with, we've had loads of managers, all have had similar issues. We can't moan at the owner because he wants to leave, just no one wants to buy us. Who do we direct our anger at? Some of the players deserve it and it'd make us feel better but it'd serve no real purpose. It's a shit situation, we're fucked

As I see it I can't see the downside of protest now. It will possibly have no effect but if he drops his price a bit or spends something in January it could have long term positive effects for SAFC.

Here's a question.if short wants say 160 million for the club, do they take it virtually debt free,or does he want 160 million then his loans repaying?.most of the debt is to Short I believe.if it's the latter, he can't surely be asking for 320 million!

When we have a chance of staying up people say 'don't protest! You might damage our chances of staying up!' Now people are saying 'why bother! We're going down anyway!'
