A kiss can be perfectly innocent, now I'm not saying that footballers should be kissing young girls however innocent it was and that's why I think she should have suspended him but it's not an admission of guilt, unless he admits it was in a sexual way which he did in the end.

Why would he claim his innocence and admit to kissing a girl if that proved his guilt?

I'm not defending the indefensible at all, people are too keen to overplay the part the club played in this whole mess, the one in the wrong was Johnson.

Anyway I'm late leaving for the match now.

Claiming his innocence over anything other than kissing the girl perhaps? Of course you know this. There was no ambiguity to it as was proven with Byrne falling on her sword.

Let's keep it outside the stadium - the last things the players need is a hostile atmosphere when they're presumably low on confidence as it is, but I for one do not want to sit on my hands until the end of the season, knowing all that we do now about the mismanagement of the club, having done nothing.

The fans are the one real thing that matter to me about this club, and I'm sick of us being misled and manipulated by an owner who clearly has no interest anymore in our success.

I absolutely hate it. We're an autonomous group of supporters with a totally different culture.

But a lot of concepts resort back to 'what would the mags' do' or 'thats what Newcastle fans do'.

Do you think Hull fans have shied away from boycotting their club just in case someone compares them to Newcastle?

Do you think Leyton Orient fans, Charlton fans are today having second thoughts about protesting, in case someone says "that's what Newcastle do man"

Beating the mags became the only thing we'd been good at in recent years. And its kept the Sunderland support quiet. Now what?

You can't compare Short with those other owners. He his far superior than them. With maybe the exception of Ashley, who I don't think he has been as bad has the Mags have made out.

The grass isn't always greener on the other side and be careful what you wish for springs to mind.

How the fuck can you be innocent of kissing an underage girl? :lol:
Wether he thinks he's innocent or not the club had grounds and should've suspended him on that alone! Remember Byrne walked over it so obviously she was wrong.

No one said there would be. This is 3 weeks old.
I was arguing with internet clever dicks who will go their ends to slag off their fellow fans. And who are tied up in the Premier League machine which says you're not allowed to doubt rich men..

I think Short is a walking disaster. However Bain so far appears very impressive.
