16.00 June 7th statement by KLD.

I’ve liked a lot of what they had done and recognised where they needed to do things better so they had my full support but no longer.

Since the FA CUP draw was made last season it has been poor decision after poor decision, a lot of words/talking from the club but very little in the way of action.

They probably don’t care but through their actions and lack of actions in a number of cases I’ve now got zero confidence in their competence and ability to run the football club well.

Poor is being kind tbh.

They’ve done well with the kit deal, but even that is soured by the fact the actual kits are not out yet.

In reality everyone should be massively excited by finally having a functioning shop and ticket office. Instead everything is overshadowed by this debacle.

Like I said I recognised the areas they needed to do better in prior to December but you know what they had built up some trust from my perspective.

Piss poor that they still haven't hired anyone, I'm generally pretty optimistic about things changing but those running the club don't help themselves.

As soon as Still made it clear he wasn't coming it should have been the next person on the list offered it, it seems like they've gone from Still to 'erm let's start from square one boss'.

It also sounds like KLD wanted Still and was involved in trying to get him and has now left it to others like he's not arsed.

Totally agree mate.

Sad thing is they are making it much more difficult than they need to. I think they have some decent ideas but the implementation of them is f***ing awful

If the people responsible for hiring coaching staff are not able to do so in 4 months to the detriment of our club then yes they should resign.

If the building contractor was still attempting to sort the issue, then what else could I do? Shout at him? What would that achieve?

If he was as incompetent as the current set up he’d already have featured on rogue traders.

I’d bin him and get someone who know what they’re doing.

I just hope KLD does the same

It could...but as forgiving as I am, there is now no excuse. New manager, new start after previous failed starts. If it doesn't happen they can fuck off.

They were always going to wait until the end of the season, whether that was right or wrong is debatable. So it's not really been 4 months. What it has done is caught them off guard, maybe, with lack of plan B/C/D...or there is something else going on that we are not privy to, who knows!

I don't know a few have changed their minds, I said IF a few had changed their minds...fact is none of us know.

At this point they’ve used up all their chances and good will…it’s time for wholesale changes imho and until they admit their shortcomings I hope the fans make them increasingly uncomfortable.

He brought 4 strikers in last season, all total dog shit. Absolutely zero sign of any manager never mind a good one. Comments from journo's suggest unrealistic constraints being imposed, i.e. new HC having to work with our existing dummies. As for the timescale, Speakman and KLD weren't at games in April as apparently in Germany interviewing HC candidates. Them not having a plan B is no surprise.

KLD is now guilty of not acting when presented with the evidence that Speakman is not up to the job. You could say the same about his oversight when it came to John Davidson

I agree, he is being a but naive with the Speakman thing, he should get shot. He should also have acted faster with Davidson...maybe he acted as fast as he could and SD had to remain in role for that time due to some reason or other...dunno. He got shot in the end though.

What qualifies the lad, he's never even had a job of any description in his pampered life never mind running a £30M+ business. Should sack himself and appoint an appropriate CEO and a proper DOF at the same time. Speakman promoted way beyond his abilities at safc, rocked up here with a list of UK based lads who were misfiring or not getting a chance. We exhausted that list within 12-18 months. Since then he's looked utterly clueless in both player and coach recruitment. Another one that will never work at a club as big as safc once he's gone, Dodds and Proctor the same.

I agree. Otherwise we are destined to fail and he loses a load of money, which he won't want to do.
