Unless an appointment genuinely is imminent I really don’t get the value in this statement.

Folk have been thinking they're not in it for the long haul and want to sell
Folk are getting worried that they won't announce a new manager
Folk think they are happy plodding along and haven't learnt anything

The statement takes care of all that.
