I also know a few people who've tested positive with lateral flows but work from home so haven't bothered reporting it or going for a PCR.
The cases will be a lot higher than the figures they're now reporting.
Hospitalisations, ventilation and death figures are the ones to keep an eye on now. As long as they steadily drop then we're beating this thing

Might just be me but I never noticed Omicron creeping up the country like they said it inevitably would. It seems to have happened so fast it was in London, then up here.

You can't spend your life worrying about things that may or may not happen.
Got to trust that the vaccines and boosters will be enough to cope with anything that comes along and start getting on with life as normal again.
And by 'normal' I mean pre-Covid normal.
