Fair point, although the only "top" (for want of a better word) side we play in that 10 game run is Chelsea, in game 10.

I'm admittedly not including Manchester United in that due to their current state.

I wasn’t sure whether @10 Trenches Deep meant all teams that have done that have stayed and no others have, or whether all teams that have done that have stayed up and others have as well

Only 15 newly promoted teams in EPL history have got 8 points in the first 5 games and none of them went down.
