I’m talking Washington and/or mining folk. I was brought up in Washington and the rest of my maternal side were from Sunlun - they all used the term dinnit. My Washington paternal side all used divvent. The Peterborough and Grimsby lot were disowned ;)

Even though I grew up and went to school pensha/Washington area, all my family are townie/mackem, whey Farra, grindon and Barnes, so my mackem twang has always been stronger than alot of me mates from Washington. Quite a few say divvent, which I find very noticeable and sounds Geordie to me and my mackem mates.

I prefer your choices but staying at daughters toneet, babysitting & all I could find :(. Handy mind as 15 mins walk to Battle station for my 9.40 train in the mornen.
