just got back. had a great day out, exciting game where we actually looked interested.
talked to a few friendly reading fans going to and from the ground. only downside was my beer got warm in the boot of the car for the journey home.

Currently in the Ale House. If drinking beer with twigs in is your thing it's the place to be.
First pint in the Monks Retreat, a wannabe Spoons. It was alright, a canny bacon sarnie.

Then went to the Alehouse, what a pub. Would have been in the same time as elephant. Great beer, quirky rooms and fantastic music.

Purple Turtle. Meh. The barmaid was shocked at having customers.

Brewdog. Expensive. Beer was canny.

Post match we walked back to the 3Guineas. It was busy, but the beer was great.

All in all, a great day. Even the football didn’t ruin it. I thought we played well and deserved a win. Have not seen any highlights yet, but was it a pen when McMananman went down?

I’m staying sober, meeting the missus and friends for dinner in Richmond after the match. Bloody challenge. Also means I have to get the slow train back to London, the Paddington train doesn’t stop at Richmond.
I do hope it was nice, did you have time to don your bow tie and spats or did you dine casually dressed?

Haven't seen a replay but I must have had the same view as you and I thought MacManannan played for it.

Dined in my match day attire, which was pretty smart. Had my SAFC scarf with me. The waiter (a Portuguese football fan) put his head in his hands and said “I’m so sorry.”
