Wasn't world class but a very good premier player
 
I get that some people don't like the bloke, but to suggest that he wasn't a world class player is madness.

I think a few of the Man Utd midfielders were better players (Keane and Scholes mainly). But he was outstanding in 2005 when they won the CL.

He didn't reach the same heights with England, but arguably many English players didn't replicate their club form with England.

Not the best managerial record, but he was a world class player. No doubt about it.
