‘Glasgow Rangers’.

Again, I need to make the point here I’m slightly Celtic bias, but I’m trying to look at this objectively.

Bit of a pitch invasion (at their rivals ground, which is a piss take). It was the end of the match, so they hung around in the box & by the goal longer than if it was a goal cos the match wasn’t restarting. There was no need to get off to allow players to return to the field to celebrate like say after the Coventry semi final or when you get presented a cup, so the motive was there to take the piss as much as possible.

So they hung around taking the piss, which would 100% wind up Rangers supporters & vice versa if the boot was on the other foot. I thinking if it was us vs Newcastle.

However, there’s a danger of taking the narrative to the next level. Apparently the Celtic supporters invaded the pitch to attack Rangers players. Given that they never ventured past the 18 yard box & the penalty shoot out was at the other end, it’s a difficult one to believe. Then the Union Bears have policed the situation to remove them, despite hundreds of police on the pitch (not that I’m saying they did a great job) which is almost being hailed as some kind of have a go hero moment, despite making the situation worse.

Nobody’s coming out of it well, but the hysteria has been taken up a canny notch.
Aye,thats a bit of a stretch. From what i saw a handful of rangers fans tried to get at celtic when there wasnt many coppers on the pitch, and bottled it,going back to their end. Then when loads of police surrounded the celtic, loads of rangers fans ran on. It was almost like they wanted that wall of police there.

I think for him to simply imply that Celtic fans were celebrating is disingenuous to be honest, we’ve all seen videos of them rushing the turnstiles, something they are known for and was a reason why allocations were reduced in the first place, opening fire exits at Motherwell so anybody could get in a season or so ago.

Wrecking away ends at Kilmarnock and Motherwell in the past completely glossed over as an old firm match issue.

All of those things are reasons for more police presence and/or reduced allocations. But none of it relates to fans being on the pitch at the end?

You think fans rushing the turnstiles and forcing their way into the game has nothing to do with folk being on the pitch at the end? Fair enough.

The Celtic keeper Sinisalo said on Radio Clyde that he got vapes bottles coins Mugs and lighters thrown at him yesterday.

Not the first time this has happened at Ibrox to Celtic keepers Joe Hart had broken glass in his penalty box

Just seen the footage of them storming the turnstiles and pics of the damage and graffiti. A very bad look for Celtic it has to be said.
It's a problem all through football in this country.

I'm madly in love with the MLFs who are so much better than many other clubs' fans but this country has a massive problem and it is not being dealt with by the fans as it should be.

The Old Firm Derby is horrendous from both sides, our derby with that lot has seen some outrageous scenes... horses getting punched even. Euro 21 Final, Lansdowne Road, any world cup or Euros... horrendous.

If you think this country has a problem then wait till you see what the Europeans are like
Some really disturbing content going round, from both sets of fans

With one derby still to be played at Parkhead in May I would be not one bit surprised if it ends up behind closed doors, if not that then Celtic fans only

"Disturbing" :lol:

I have to correct my earlier post mocking the union bears as wearing spiderman masks. They were wearing masks with Lions on (like the ones on the badge)
One did look like a mexican wrestler so I can only assume he's a fan of the Film Nacho Libre

In Ireland it isn't a problem, in this country it is only a problem in football, it doesn't need to go on at all. A massive indulgence of man babies.
The video of the lad having his head stamped on is minging mind
His eye popped out apparently but he messaged later to say he wasn't dead
