That approach was 100% him putting himself ahead of the team imo. I genuinely think he looked at what Vincent kompany done (I.e got relegated playing out from the back and landed the bayern job) and thought if he done the same he'd get a much better job.

Difference is the majority of the football World can see Martin is an absolute clown
