Agree . The fact we aren’t doing much testing but plan to increase it means the stats will surely look worse from an infection rate?all these graphs and numbers and that, surely the only number that can be used as fair barometer is actual number of deaths?
If I catch it then I am blaming Aldi.
Is it BrandonThis geeky looking bod on Sky News sounds genuinely disappointed when the daily deaths don’t increase.

Deaths is the only reliable stat and that’s not really accurate either.
I hope they’ve timed this lockdown right because I suspect it won’t get a good reaction in a few weeks time when reality hits home
It’s about half of numbers being predicted last week, got to be a glimmer of cautious hope. It’s not so long ago that we were told that the death rate would double every 3/4 days, at the moment it certainly isn’t doing that
Cautious yes certainlyIt’s about half of numbers being predicted last week, got to be a glimmer of cautious hope.
Him with the big glasses? He’s owa the moon now cos they’re going to start adding people who died in the community rather than just in hospital. This geeky looking bod on Sky News sounds genuinely disappointed when the daily deaths don’t increase.
Exactly. Just gave the analogy to my youngest about releasing the top on a bottle of shaken coke. Release it, tighten it, release it, tighten it. Could be done region by region too.The government health expert has just repeated that the objective is to keep the curve just below the NHS ITU capacity.
This implies that they want a controlled spread of the virus.
As they are massively increasing the ITU capacity this implies that they will be tweeking the restrictions to allow further spread so the country will eventually get herd immunity so that we can all go back to normal.

We managed to get a Sainsbury’s delivery slot then the Mrs cancelled it as she wants to go to Asda!!!????I wouldn't be surprised if supermarkets are the super spreaders. Before they introduced a modicum of order they were free for alls. Haven't been in one for abiut three weeks but can't get a delivery slot for love nor money despite using Sainsburys delivery for the last 6 years or so, working for the NHS and Sainsburys saying they were "allocating" slots fairly

Apparently their slots are dependent on the staff availability so it might be worth checking regularly. We have had delivery passes for the past few years but we aren’t ‘essential’ workers, unless a teacher counts.
Careful now - you'll have the Death, Doom and Gloom brigade jumping all over you for daring to display any form of positive attitude.Aye people had us tracking with Italy a week or so ago and we’re gradually getting further and further from that. Almost half what Italy had at this point on that measurement.
.. I done one with a couple of slabs of Carling ..Aye, this bloke shows it in very simple terms:-
WrongThe plan is working. In a few weeks time everyone will be wondering why we didn't have nowhere near as many cases as what was being predicted.
