Got talking last season with the bloke who takes freelance pictures at the Durham games. Got to know him to talk too quite well. This is his website with some canny pictures from today:

This picture from last season v Notts also caught my eye: ;-)

It's that bloody sprog again

Good photo
Came across it quite by accident on Andrew's site. I've got a copy of it now like. He sent it through a few minutes ago.

Lovely picture mind.

sums up what sport and cricket should be about.

Got a picture of my daughter being gobbed on by Wayne Rooney

Lovely

I was just about to launch into a tirade but thought I better check since it was you! ;-)

I would have enjoyed the tirade

It's the sort of thing you can imagine happening, so can you have the tirade anyway?

TBF its cricket season now for me so I'll let them squabble amongst themselves. I'll see them in September.

I can tell it's starting, f***ing freezing here today. Gone through a sack of coal

Greedy reckons balmy sunshine for the weekend, hardly seems right.

the University game has seen spells of rain but when the sun came out it was cracking. Last year we played Essex first game in the CC and it pissed down. Just as well because the weather saved us from losing.

We did crap against the prmooted sides last year - other than Kent away - and they both went down!

A highlight of today, dinnertimish was a huge Stokes 6 that nearly hit the pavilion. Durham have a few players that once they hit it, it stays well and truly hit.

Some really strapping lads in the Durham lineup. Mitch Claydon (cracking lad) is built like a brick shithouse!

Nice word.

I hope we do well, I am well postioned to make more frequent visits now

I know what you mean but he is a smashing lad. I'm told he is one of the top 30 best sports photographers in the UK.

If you make it down marra you'll have to let me know in advance.

I could take that to mean 2 things ;-)
Put it this way - bring plenty of money and have your drinking head on! ;-)

A lad who I've struck up a bit of a friendship with is a lapsed Mag from Wallsend. He's crackers like and went to Lancashire last year with me and the bairn.

He used to be under the jurisdiction of the probation service but he's a bit coy about whether he ever went inside.

In all honesty I think he started watching Durham CCC to escape a very long stretch ie out of the reach of his mates. Great lad like.

I often see WHED at the cricket now. He gets loads of stick on PF but he's a really sound lad. Really canny.

North Country Boy goes occasionally. Nice lad. Poledancer/George as well. George is a lovely lad but I've known him for 30 odd years now.

He doesnt swear as much in real life as he does on here. ;-)

Edit - should say that I met a lad yesterday and today at the University ground that I havent seen in years. The CLS lads and the lads from Coxhoe used too see each other at SAFC games in the mid to late 70's. Its kind of sad that he too has become disillusioned and now swaps SAFC for DCCC.
