Been to Chester le Street CC this afternoon to take part in the Cricket Force initiative:

Painted fences, tidied up and generally loads of volunteers turned up to help out in preparation for the new season. I'm aware that there isnt a designated day for this just an initiative for clubs during the close season.

Anyone else been involved with their local cricket club or going to be?

As a matter of fact they did. Young kids, the committee, players, a right mix. It was a really good experience and TBH made me wonder if I should do some volunteer work a couple of hours a week in some capacity.
