Vaughan was a better tactician and captained at a time when the aussies were at there best also holds the record for most test win I believe. Hussain did miracles with the team he was a great tactian and very very gutsy. Strauss is the better batsmen as captain for me but doesn't have the best man management skills although I think we have the best coach for that ATM.

Hussain and Vaughan before him like.

When Hussain took over I was a teenager and witness first hand the transformation he started with this team. Vaughan took it to another level but I will always think of Hussain as the better captain imo of course.

Strauss is far too negative as a captain and can be prone to following the ball with his field placings.

Having said that, he is currently (at Test level, anyway) captaining a very talented squad of players.

Vaughan for me like.

As said Strauss has had good results, but he is far too negative.

And in repost to the home/away vs australia.

Vaughan came up against a much better australian side, so its tough to compare the 2.

A lot of that is to do with fletcher being part of the setup IMO.
