No.

Had I had him in my team I would have said other. But going by that anyone who makes a player prediction who gets injured should get to swap it.

i think its fair as the selections were made prior to the competition and unlike the fantasy league no subs were allowed.

there is no cert that morgan will come straight into the team either.

i will bow to the majority. cant remember off hand if i picked kp anyway

Why was this not done for the people who picked Broad for top wicket taker in the Ashes? I reckon it's unfortunate if your player gets injured.

a good point.

as i said, if it is not what the majority want, it doesnt happen.

I assume you dont mean Pietersen's runs would then count for Morgan? Because if peoples predictions were changed, there's no way Morgan could be highest run scorer now anyway unless he scored like 3/4 centuries.

another good point. as i say, they could include pietersens runs but in reality it should just be the runs morgans scores himself.

i am not convinced he will come straight into the team anyway. has not played for weeks, must be a bit rusty. they wont drop bopara, so it would be a toss up with him and colly.

perhaps run scorer should now be done by average?

I suggest we don't make any changes to the rules. It is just bad luck for those that chose Pietersen and Broad (if he is sent home).

And this has nothing to do with the fact that I chose Trott and Swann ;-)

Some good points raised but I feel it would only be fair that anyone who picked Pietersen has his runs aggregated with any Morgan scores.

And as Malinga missed the first two games anyone who picked him to be leading wicket taker should get Tahir's wickets as he's now injured.

All in my most humble, totally unbiased opinion.

I think we need to come to a consensus over this before too long.

Option 1 - it is just hard lines if one of your predictions is sent home injured - no replacements allowed.

Option 2 - if one of your predictions is sent home due to injury you can opt to replace him with the player who replaces him in the squad but only the runs scored / wickets taken by the replacement will count. Eg Morgans runs will count but Pieterson's wouldn't.

Option 3 - if one of your predictions is sent home due to injury the runs scored / wickets taken by the player who replaces him are added to those accumulated by the injured player before he was sent home. Eg Tremlett's wickets will be added to those taken by Broad.

I vote for option 1.
