strauss is woeful as a captain, anderson, yardy, broad didnt help him like, but he clearly doesnt have a clue

Our middle order has no big hitters so we are limited in strategy for that period of the game. We batted to our strengths as we should and accumulated a very good total, it was more than enough to win a game against an associate team.

If Broad and Anderson mis-fire our back up bowling is shocking....Yardy!? As for the fielding it looks like we have gone back 20 years overnight.

The world 20/20 must have been a fluke.

It will take a miracle to turn this tournament around now.

Whoever they play next will do them over big style.The Paddys may well have lifted their game but Engalnd were abject shoite and but have the player to have won, whether we batted first or second.

it was, it was played straight after the IPL, as I said at the time and proceeded to get slaughtered for it. Amazing how people change their tune when it suits
 
If I was Andy Flower I'd be worried tonight.. remember what happened to the last coach to lose to Ireland in a World Cup

the same Strauss that was praised less than how many months ago down under? :lol: These results happen all the time. Ireland were at the races, England weren't. Ireland win.

this, trott and bell are nice players, but arent devastating and arent going to take the game away from the opposition

once we got to 290 we just looked as if we had given up as we thought we had won, and it resonated all the way thru the bowling

Absolute bang on. It seems like no thought is given by our bowlers on how to finish teams off. I've noticed it before in the ODIs in Oz. Other teams' seamers will vary it with bouncers, slower balls, in to the batsman or yorkers. Nothing there from England today.

When you see the likes of Pakistan, South Africa, India bowling at the death you never get two balls the same in an over. Yorkers, bouncers, slower balls, slower ball bouncers. England bowl on a length and you can set yourself for the ball before the bowler starts his run up.

not questioning his test captaincy at all, but two 6-1 humiliations against aus and now the inept bowling performances these 3 games shows he doesnt have a clue if things arent workin out for him, o'briens innings was one of the greats, but we bowled 2 balls to him, no slowies, bouncers, no coming round to cramp him for room, it was so one dimensonal

Andy why do you think England bowlers bowl on a length and when Jimmy runs through opposition in May and June in England why do you always have a wank about how good he is. Your contradicting yourself
