I'm doing a paper at college about how Twenty20 has effected the power in cricket (yes, I picked the title and I thought it would be easier than it has turned out to be).

I have basically settled on how the BCCI now just gets what it wants, and I'm looking for more examples of this and can anyone think of any? So far I've got the dropping of Steve Bucknor and Harbijhan getting cleared of racism on their tour of Australia a few years back.

So erm, help please, cricket board

I dont believe it has effected things that much. 50 over cricket needed revamping, test cricket is still the pinacle in a players career. A lot of the worlds best use 20/20 to recover for test cricket...ponting, Sachine, Clarke etc

I would have done on an essay on how test cricket will never be overtaken

Yeah, I realised that there isnt that much to write about to tried to centre it on the BCCI basically doing whatever they want, but cant think of many examples.

If you are centring it around the IPL go into how much each franchise costs, its worth. Also define how much the IPL makes in revenue from TV advertising and what it has done for the Indian economy in general.
