The Ashes

I prefer to lurk & learn rather than bring the board down to my level, I bow to everyone else's superior knowledge (in cricket anyway).

What has happened to all those posters who were on here and posting during the Ashes?

most have probably had to get back to work and family. The odi's after the tests are always an anti climax as well.

The ODIs being on at even worse times than the tests probably hasnt helped. Look at the ODI threads, there's hardly been anyone posting on them.

Hopefully a few of the new following will be back for the World Cup and will catch the bug properly and be on here during what should hopefully be a very good summer for English cricket.

The ODI's are barely even an afterthought for me, and apart from the game today it appeared to be that way for the England team as well.

Test match cricket is the pinnacle of all things cricket and only the World Cup gets anywhere near it in terms of gaining my interest.

the cricket board is like the SOL on match days

half empty in average games and full to the rafters for the big ones

probably got sick of the bullshit that came out your mouth mate. still remember it like it was yesterday.

i used to stay up for the tests but the times and also work at 8am doesnt help.

ODI's are at bad times for me plus without sky I have to go out of my way for updates or highlights/any kind of viewing.

Nothing happening domestically, Durham seem happy with their squad.

What do you want to talk about EB?

I was fortunate enough to be off sick for 10 weeks just as the Ashes started, so sleep deprivation wasn't really a big issue at the time. Just started a new job so unfortunately can't watch as much of the 1 dayers.

been checking the world cup times. it appears that most of the games will be starting at 9am gmt

england v india is on a sunday at 9am on 27 february, same day as the league cup final

ive just joined up and have enjoyed a bit of cricket banter
i have to admit though, cant stop looking at pf with all the transfer bull etc  think you'll find it a bit busier after the transfer deadline

Catching up on some sleep!!!

:lol::lol:

i never take any interest in the post ashes one dayers.

think its a disgrace personally that they bother, nobody ever gives a hoot, and especially after such a historic win for our lot they should have been brought back together and paraded around like the heroes they showed themselves to be.

cant wait for durham to start up again, we've got our first games planned already.. coming up for a week in april and catching 2 safc home games, 2 pro 40s and a championship game, 6 days of safc/dccc in 7 days, good times
