A relief to see Prior finally get some runs in a ODI, and Trott looks like he could well have secured a starting spot for the World Cup, must be between Bell and Collingwood for the final batting spot now and Colly's bowling will probably shade him it.

Aus 91/3, England in a good position but Watson batting well again so still could be a close game.

prior is a great player but he's not an opener imo.especially not against the likes of tait and lee
agree think collys bowling will shade it,he's doing a good job here
who do you think they'll drop for broad.....shazad ?

I think Shahzad will go for Bresnan and Broad will replace Tremlett. I think Anderson, Swann and Yardy are shoe in's, Bresnan will come in and bat at 8 if fit (Which he is expected to be), and Broad will fill the bang it in role which Tremlett is at the moment.

To be fair to Strauss, the slower bowlers like Collingwood and Yardy have been well suited by this pitch so not a bad idea to try another one aslong he's not too expensive.

yes but it could be dangerous if we bowl our strike bowlers and they get smashed and edged round the paek.then what would we be left with :confused: one strike bowler and one stop gap on each end for me

It seems that with them expecting Broad to be fit, they don't think they need 2 tall, bang it in bowlers on docile sub-continent pitches. If Broad isn't fit, I've no doubts that Tremlett will be his replacement.
