not wishing to look wise after the event (and this will hopefully come back to bite me on the arse), but I still dont get it.

What has Davies done wrong exactly? If you insist that your keeper opens the batting he is far and away the best choice in the 50 over format.
 

Davies has done nothing wrong he was asked to be the pinch hitter and has done a good job he also showed he can bat long as well. Prior is more suited to the sub-continent according to flower/selectors so I suppose their view can't be taken until he plays in the world cup.

Its a strange one - Flower arged that Prior would be the better choice on the slow bangladeshi wickets and he was more vocal and therefore better for the team ethic. It looks a bit daft at the minute :lol:
