Pietersen?

I remember him getting out to a ridiculous top edge sweeping a ball outside off stump, but I dont think he got his century first. Sure he went from the Windies in 2009 til the current Ashes tour without scoring a test century too.

correct.

Didnt the Aussies bat first and get loads and we batted twice to cling on...could be wrong

Remember listening to this on TMS special. Alec Stewart was commentating and telling everybody listening not to move at all otherwise a wicket would fall. :lol:
Remember thinking there was no way jimmy and monty could hold out but hold out they did.

which west indian cricketer did i shout that he would never play for england, at darlington, in a durham match v leicesteshire, in approx 1998?

mullaly was playing for leicestershire as well and betts was playing for durham

Must have been Phil Simmons as I was at that match aswell :)
:lol::lol:

amazingly correct.

we went out for a spot of lunch, came back and durham were 8 down and on the point of losing, when we got back

was a red hot day. eric gates was at that game as well.

We went to the 40 over game on the Sunday, Durham were 100/1 chasing 180 to win and somehow managed to be bowled out 5 runs short :lol:

Simmons got 4 wickets IIRC.

ok, here's one for you. In 1958/59 Hanif Mohammad was run out for 499 in Karachi. In 1994 Brain Lara scored 501* at Edgbaston. Those innings were 35 years and 4000 miles apart. Who is the only person who saw both innings?
