From the Beeb gossip column

"Alan Shearer is ready to walk out on Newcastle because he is sick of being kept in the dark over the club's future by owner Mike Ashley and managing director Derek Llambias."

I thought he was only contracted for the 8 games at the end of last season. How can he walk out on the skunks when he's not actually "in" the organisation.
Slack journalism at its best and should be rewritten as:

"former ex-pro might quit a job he doesn't have and probably isn't qualified for!":lol::lol:

American investors are hesitating over taking over the skunks as they fear it could be heading for financial meltdown similar to what happened to Leeds Utd. !!

Toon Bidders Gathering - Takeover Almost Over?
By Dave | July 10, 2009
Keeping a low profile so not to upset others further from needless tittle-tattle about the club. I read other blogs jumping on every single piece of news no matter how insignificant. I found it all rather amusing actually. Some even reported that the asking price for a club takeover had actually dropped to £80m but good ol’ Llambias came out of the wood work to announce that two clubs had made bids of £100m. One is a Malay consortium and announced today the Singapore Profitable group had also tabled a bid last week. Another consortium has reportedly come into the fray via Austrian group, Brwin, according to the Chronicle. Columnist, Lee Ryder openly dismisses the whole talk of takeovers as the fumbling of the current regime. Well, I have my doubts still about what’s going on.
Amidst the shocking news that Michael Owen had been snapped up by Man Utd last week (fans there expecting the worst). Is Fergie going a bit senile in his old age and not remembering the fact that Owen was mostly injured throughout his four years here? Who knows. Perhaps a little light will finally switch on in Owen’s brain and finally someone will get to see him actually score something. Transfer activity in Newcastle itself is shockingly static at the moment. The team is stuck in limbo whilst the incompetent ones decide what’s going on amoungst themsleves.
So far, the picture is still as unclear as ever, so fans have some more frustrating hours to endure with only lass than a month before the first ball is kicked in the Championship.

pick the bones clean and feed to the cat......'s spelling mistakes anarl

This thread cant be closed for an age yet.

We await pics of fans in their new tops :lol::lol:

plus: dodgy takeover issues

plus: defeats as the new season starts.

On their forums i have noticed many mags saying that we will soon become bored with slagging them off over their predicament.

Lets prove em wrong .
