Harry Wilson

Bournemouth are 17th highest payers in the league according to one of AI slop sites
I have read elsewhere they are parsimonious
Wasn’t there an article around them qualifying for the champions league that they were financially on a knife’s edge and that Europe wouldn’t help but champions league would?

Wilson is not the player I'd want to be giving a significant free agent package to.

Far, far too risky for a player who will be 30 next season IMO and the more realistic outcome is that he gives you the type of production he has given for the last few seasons (around 6 or 7 combined goal involvements) as opposed to what he did this season, which was a complete outlier in his Premier League career.

The likes of a reported £100,000+ a week package are batshit.

He has 2 goals and 3 assists next season on a 4 year deal at £120,000 a week for a Spurs/Everton/Mags written all over him.

This is also the reason we shouldn’t go for Bowen. Similar age and will demand a similar salary - plus another £30m or so in transfer fee.

Edit: Just seen Bowen’s numbers are a lot better for end product. Still. Too expensive.

Harry Wilson and Jarrod Bowen would instantly solve our left and right wide positions, whilst allowing the young lads - Talbi, Angulo, and Ta Bi - to continue to get games and develop at their own pace. For £20m-£30m in transfer fees, and 2 top 10 PL wage packages, it would be a no-brainer for me if there was a chance.

Not too keen on Wilson tbh. Has had a wonder season but could easily go back down to single digit goal involvments next year. Bowen on the other hand would be tremendous, although never happening.

Every year when the list of available free transfers comes out there's always half a dozen players like Wilson.

Guys who at first glance look like they'd be a decent signing, but dig at all below the surface and you realise why they're available for free!

He class, better than anything we have on the wing

Never read such utter shite.
Since joining Fulham 186 games 82 goals and assists. Proper flash in the pan.....

30 of which have come in the Championship and are irrelevant to us.

Leaving aside last season, which isn't in question, he averages 4 goals and 4 assists per season, a total of 8 goal contributions.

He's 30 during next season and will command a multi year deal at around £100,000+ a week.

It would be a huge, huge risk when we have limited resources and not one worth taking IMO.

156 games in the prem and 50 goals and assists that a goal every 3.12 games thats 12 goals a season on the wing. so better than anything we have. Numpty
