The north stand is the default away end with some of the west stand if teams can take that many. Think maximum league allocation is 1600 but suspect we'll be offered more as they'll look to maximise revenue from the game.

You are probably right bud but with it being a friendly, I wonder if they just put it to general sale for season card holders. At the end of the day, the match doesn’t really matter and will probs be pretty shit anyway

York had to stop selling season tickets as they were getting to the point where there wouldn’t be many walk up ones available (at around 5600 I think). I don’t expect there will be much general sale availability for the home tickets. As yet they don’t have a season ticket resale system in place which doesn’t help.

I think they will for this game. Will be loads wanting to go with it being middle of July on a Saturday. Did it for hearts last year. We'll probably get an allocation of a couple of thousand.

We also played a pre-season friendly on 27 July 2002, although it was very much a Sunderland Reserve side (Macho, Ramsden, McCartney, Byrne, Varga, Medina, Black, Schwarz, Reddy, Graydon, McGill). The first team were in Belgium at the time.

You must be kidding. No way will they allocate 2,000 for away fans.

Why wouldnt they? Its literally only 400 more than their usual allocation. Their crowds have improved loads recently but theyd probably expect about 4k home fans for this. I wouldnt be surprised to see us get both the north and west stands.

They do have an away ticket section on their site for away fans tbf
