Pre season friendly away to Lens

8:34 Eurostar to Lille
21:05 back to St Pancras

£130, that will do nicely.

A lot more accessible when you live in Sussex, I guess. For the rest of us that probably means 2 overnights near London, or one in London, one in Lille then a morning start from Lille for the return journey.

All good practice for the Europa League :D

I'm also on the 8:34 out on the Saturday but staying overnight and back on the Sunday

Not really. Could easily leave Sunderland AM Friday morning, be in London for lunchtime and then on a PM eurostar to Lille without any stop overs in/near London.

Due to wanting to save annual leave though I'm travelling down to London after work Friday night and then early eurostar out Saturday morning

Is the kick off 4pm French time?
Lens have it as 4pm on their site but we have it as 4pm (BST) on ours. Have they forgot to adjust for the time difference?

Anyone thinking of the Eurostar with London stay over, there appears to be no trains north from KGX on the Sunday.

"Tickets for Sunday 9 August

The LNER timetable for Sunday 9 August is currently being finalised before tickets for this date can be released. We recommend checking back regularly for the latest updates."
