The Guardian has Sullivan's resignation as the lead story on its website. Normally a story about a footy Club owner stepping down would be confined to the sports section. I mean it would be of interest to footy fans but its no big deal..

The Guardian doesn't say anything the we don't already know but given the prominence they have given it suggests to me that they know (as I suspect a lot of other papers do) that something big is about to break .

Posted this before but I watched a documentary about him many years ago, possibly Channel 4 Dispatches,where one of his dodgy business practices was advertising magazines claiming to have pics of women with animals, subscribers got a copy of Horse and Hound. Not sure what the FA is meant to do to be honest. If the accusations are true then surely the press should have had them out there sooner, never mind the law.

I have no idea what these allegations are or aren't about Sullivan. But when you think there is very credible links between the mag ownership regime and crimes including murder of a journalist, doesn't say a lot for how high the FA bar is. Does it?

I think he means that as he’s just irresistible to women it’s inevitable that some would get offended when he rejected their advances and make up stuff about him. You can see it. Women love a short arsed gonk with epaulettes.
