Couldn't care any less if they want to claim it, everyone associates it with us. And we're absolutely massive. And they're Hull.

I'd be trying to claim a new iconic song if my team was most closely associated with a song celebrating tigers bothering people (or people bothering tigers).

It was our anthem at Wembley when we played Norwich in the cup final in 85 and I was only 9 then but remember my older brother of 9 years more buying an Elvis album just for that one song. As others have pointed out it dates before the 80's and was well established as our song we sung

Only ever met one Hull fan and he was about 5ft 6 and always thought he was the big I am. Funnily enough it was around 2014 and he used to go out of his way to slag us as fans and the club off based on us copying “their song” in the cup quarter final

The way we sang chants on the clips of the 85 cup final is much slower than we do today as well. It is interesting why it’s so fast these days, I hear mags saying the same about their fans as well. Have our accents changed over time causing us to speak quicker? Wonder if it’s the same for other non north east clubs. Bizarre either way.
