Hull City fans and Elvis

They are only saying that because there's a guy works down the chip shop in Hull who swears he's Elvis.

But he's a liar, and I'm not sure about you

Who cares, its ours now and we have been singing it for as long as I remember.

The original "Wise Men Say" fanzine was in the 1980s.

It’s seen as our football anthem across the country tbf. When we’re on tv, the commentators regularly make reference to it.

If Hull try and claim it, the vast majority of others will tell them to stop being silly and choose another tune.

It's 2025 and the as the admin above says, we had a fanzine named Wise Men Say since the 1980s, so you're looking at 30-40+ years of singing the song

It doesn't seem like it matters who "sang it first" back before a huge amount of our fans were born when it's been song for multiple decades by us. At this point it's clearly a Sunderland song whether they like it or not
