Why are USA so **** at ‘soccer'?

Listened to a pod cast about grass roots football in the US, there was a time when it was cheap sport.
Now most of the youth soccer in the US is monetarized and its become expensive to play,

They're just not that into it, and it isn't culturally ingrained into their very being like it is in Europe and South America. I disagree it's about money.
With such huge Hispanic and Latino populations in Amirca it is quite surprising. I believe Spanish has overtaken English as the dominantly used language in the USA now

A sleeping giant in some ways just like how we’ve been mentioned in the past.

Is it because as a nation and culture that they have no to little interest in ‘soccer’?

You look at the absolute specimens that play their national sports. They’re monster athletes!

From American Football, Basketball or even running.

But you look at their ‘soccer’ team and it’s far from it.

In a modern game were the mavericks are fading and its more about tactics and athleticism, they should be far, far better.
Its always about the money and the pool of players to pick from! Why with a population of 60 million ish is the uk so useless at tennis? compared to much smaller countries ,why are there not many black swimmers (before anyone starts im talking about socio economic stuff and nowt to do with the physiology of race)at the top.Its always about the money with a little culture and socio economic drivers.Soccer in the use is played by millions its just the media patronises it and mostly ignores it mainly because they cannot change the rules (bugger they are trying)enough to attract the advertisers but mark my words if they could attract the advertisers they would be a force to recon with in 20 years or so.

Because their national sport is NFL so they don't care about it.

The same way Western Europe mostly doesn't care about NFL, Baseball or Basketball.

Was going to say, it doesn't have to all be money. It's just not socially that normal.

I don't know many sumo wrestlers or kabaddi players in britain like

Yet baseball is the 3rd biggest sport takes 6 hours and is slower than cricket. Sell out crowds of 60000 every game. Ok then.
American sports are stop and start, they don't have to concentrate for to long.
Hence short attention span.

Im not sure thats true mate..there are a handfull of states where the population of latino's is above 30% but none are over 50% and there will be high representations of the spanish language such as radio stations local tv ect but on a pure numbers game English is still the dominant language in the usa and probably always will !

American Football 3-4 hr games and 100k at College games, and probably 60-70k average NFL. American sports are mega long start to finish

They are obsessed with physicality. I remember speaking to a yank and he couldn't understand how Maradona was the best player in the world when he was only 5ft 5. I told him that his height actually made him better because of hos low centre of gravity and he looked at me like id shat in his shoes. They will always prioritise physicality because its so ingrained in their psyche that if they did have a Messi or an Iniesta they would probably dismiss them for a bigger less talented player

Tbf the crowds at NFL are pretty crap really there's only 32 teams across the whole of the US. It's like England bragging it got 70k fans at it's only football club.
