Hull City fans and Elvis

I remember last time we were in the PL Hill fans were fuming at us for claiming it was ours.

Unfortunately for them since then we’ve done some pretty impressive social media marketing around it, especially last season in the PL, and also the Elvis shirts coming out next season - I think in the eyes of most neutrals it’s ours and looks like they’re copying us when they sing it this season.

It always has been ours.

Ask any neutral fan and hull won’t be mentioned

I only found out it was yours from here tbf

Sheff United were singing "Take my hand, take my whole life too" in the early 80s when I started watching them.... they never sing "wise men say only fools rush in"
Think that's the part we sang traditionally, but it's the wise men say part they play pre match for some reason.

Where are the Palace fans with this, noticed they like to do their version now and again. Recently in Dortmund with an Everton fan, after match singalong and my pal had his Everton shirt out. He was just shouting the word shite when they all started with You’ll Neverr Walk Alone. They strangely loved him.

1977 at Hull just after EP’s death the song was played,
This^^^
I was at Hull away in the 77/78 season, just after Elvis died in the August.
SAFC were there in huge numbers as per usual, and "Can't help falling in love" was played over the PA system.
BOTH sets of supporters joined in and sang it.
So in my opinion Hull have just as much rights to sing it as we do.

4-0 or 4-1 game?
I might be slightly out with my years then mate because it definitely wasn’t either of those scorelines. Can’t even remember what it was tbh but I would have remembered 4 or 5 goals. It was a boiling hot day in May at the end of the season I think, sure we wore a white away strip.

Edit: just checked. Won 1-0 Darren Bent. 24th April 2010.
