Also finished it last night, couldn't agree more with what you've said. Hopefully the second one isn't too far away.
 

Just started chapter 7. Great game so far. It's taken me 27 hours so far. No idea how people have completed it in 15-20.
 
That worth a buy fella on YouTube absolutely slated it and some of his comments about the AI and hand holding gameplay seemed valid but glad most seem to be enjoying it.

I reckon it has really rubbed some people up the wrong way in those areas. It wouldn’t work as a pure Hitman rip off, though. It’s built around a film-style story and there has to be a degree of guidance and flexibility with stupid enemies, or it would get bogged down in too much realism. I think it’s a breath of fresh air and very accomplished. I have very limited time for playing games, so a game that pushes you along a clear story is good for me.
