Expectations for 26/27 season


Just build on what has been done. No one expected us to be where we ended up so just keep surprising people. I have full confidence in the board and recruitment, which is massively refreshing.
 
The mid-table pack is so tight finishing 9-13th doesn't really make any tangible difference.

We should be aiming for a consolidation season in that range and reaching the Europa knockouts, hopefully towards the business end.

I think I'd only really be disappointed if we get dragged into a relegation battle, but I just don't see it.

Money to spend and a free hit at everything. We have nothing to worry aout and will kick on even more in the cup competitions.

League Cup win, beating Newcastle in the semi final home and away to add to the two league win.

FA Cup out in 3rd round to South Shields.
 
I know people will think I'm being miserable, but honestly, just avoiding any relegation battles is plenty enough for a 2nd season.
There is a chance of a 2nd season dip, we could easily get a bad run of form. It'll be tough playing the league, europe and 2 cups - you see how it has affected other teams in recent years.

But making it to a 3rd premier league season is a massive foundation to build from.
 
Personally think folk are dreaming thinking we may win europa. Dare to dream I guess.

Prediction:

Europa quarters.
14th in league.
Exit one cup early get to semi of other.

Id take that n build from there!
