New shirt info

Everyone is assuming this relates to the shirt?

I'm not sure about that. Why would Elvis Presley, or more specifically his estate, sponsor our shirt? This will probably cost £20m to £30m per year for 3 years. From the Elvis side, are they going to sell more than £90m extra records?

Other suggestions it could be an Elvis themed shirt?! What would that even entail? In that scenario we'd be basically paying to put his signature on there - will we sell any extra shirts because of that?

Intrigued to find out what this is about, but not sure it's going to have anything to do with the shirts.

Elvis Presley Enterprises to be front of shirt sponsor?

Elvis Presley absolutely can—and has—sponsored football teams.Historical SponsorshipIn the early 1960s, Elvis sponsored and played for a local touch football team in Memphis composed of his entourage and friends. The team played in the Memphis Municipal Adult Touch Football League, and their jerseys were emblazoned with the logo "E.P. Enterprises". Elvis even took it so far as to draw up his own custom football plays.Modern CollaborationsThough the King of Rock and Roll passed away in 1977, his estate continues to license his likeness and association. Fans on Reddit and news across OneFootball noted that the UK's Sunderland A.F.C. (closely tied to Elvis through their stadium anthem "Can't Help Falling in Love") teased an official, Elvis-themed kit collaboration featuring his trademark.TodayBecause of his estate's management and his status as a cultural icon, his legacy can legally appear on official kits, merchandise, or corporate sponsorships via Elvis Presley Enterprises.
