Barts is the oldest hospital in the world that's still on its original site, where it's been since 1123. For reasons I don't fully understand this absolutely does my head in.I have some exciting news to share with you about upcoming tv series - I was extremely busy last year! They're all coming along like buses... even while series 13 of Digging for Britain is still airing on BBC Two (and all 6 episodes available already on iplayer), there are THREE more series coming soon:

So - lots of lovely history and archaeology for your delectation, made by three fantastic teams from, respectively, 9 of cups, Spark Media and Lion TV. It was a joy to work with all of them, and I hope you enjoy the fruits of our labours!

Bring out yer deadGood luck to her finding any civilisation in Stockton.
I listened to her ‘Desert Island Discs’ a while back.
When she worked as a surgeon in a children’s ward, so did her rounds on roller skates.
(There’s more to it but that’s the gist)
Her archeological work originally stems from tests she performed on human bones to identify their age and origins
(FYI her ‘disc’ music choices included Pixies, Smashing Pumpkins, Sisters of Mercy and System Of a Down )
