Safe Standing

Always the same people whinging about everything mind - on every topic

If it’s not parents whinging about “what about thaa bairnnns” it’s “I’m a pensioner”

Neither of these were a thing when I was a lad. Get on with it.

So a few old boomers pipe up and everyone has to fall into line. Same old story they want everything their way and fk the rest
That’s a bit harsh mind. The article says that that they have been season ticket holders for 40 years, and they have become friends with most people around them, so it’s understandable to hat they don’t want to leave their seat. They said the people in their area don’t actually stand.

I think the club should be commended for listening to them. There have been way to many instances recently where fans have been ignored and treated like an inconvenience, and if the club had booted them out there would be many more supporters annoyed at that, than there are disappointed that there aren’t as many safe standing spaces.

Well done to the club imho

Be interesting to see if they go to away games though. It’s pretty much all standing at away matches. It’s also bullshit when he says we can’t stand for two hours. The most you have to stand is 45 minutes (plus added time) as you sit down at half time and before the game.

Leeds fans must be laughing at us - most of them stand all game irrespective of age.

At his age he probably needs to go to the bogs at half time

Aren’t the seats / standing designed so that no matter if bloke infront of you is standing and you’re sitting you can still see ?

The club shouldn't be installing safe standing in new areas unless SC holders are offered relocation to seated areas.

What is the law on safe standing, is it still a trial or can clubs convert all their grounds.

Don’t be wet, we should be adding full standing behind both goals and returning to a hostile and aggressive atmosphere in those sections

“Surrey” - shock

Your point makes no sense. This isn’t people that are already standing with an issue, it’s those that don’t and may not want to. Roker in the 70s had plenty of seats too. I reckon plenty would have kicked off if they were told they’d have to shift to somewhere standing.

Convert both ends to standing like at roker park, leave the sides as seated - and then let people go where they want to go

Issue is you’d get people demanding they be able to stay in an end / corner and be able to sit.
