SOL expansion

Kitting out a few bars & boxes wont cost anywhere near an additional £150m. Hoying a few thousand seats up involves all the steal & brick work (thats the expensive bit)
It’s not a few extra boxes. Boxes aren’t the earners that restaurants are. It’s different sized/priced restaurants/rooms that clubs want now. Rooms that can be used for other things during the week.
Didn't SBM say that the SoL had been designed and built in such a way that extending any of the stands - E, N and S, would not be a big deal ?
Can't recall the cost of the N stand but it wasn't huge, and it was completed in what seemed like a short space of time.
A basic stand Ala the north stand with very bog standard amenities would be easy quick n cheap but that’d put SAFC even further behind the big boys as theirs are earning during the week and offer various fancy dining options.
Spurs is now the standard home fan off field experience the other clubs realise they need to meet, I was at Spurs v Burnley first game of last season and couldn’t believe what I was seeing eating and drinking tbh.
One off attending fans are the targets of the football business now. The rest of us are bit part players in the show.

Why's that then? That's not huge these days for infrastructure projects. If they make 15% of seats premium (which our CEO says is what he would want to compare with Everton & Spurs etc) and they build big concourses with bars and restaurants, then the increased revenue would be enough to service the 250m loan.

Just listening to our CEO talk about the need to increase revenue and his focus on premium tickets I am more convinced than ever we will be extending.

But you need enough people interested in spending the money on premium seats.

Earnings during the week talk is nonsense. We've got more than enough space for that already and earn next to nowt during the week.
I think you're right. The company I work for had boxes at Villa and Wolves and just didn't see the value in them because after you've taken local clients there a couple of times each it becomes harder to fill them. You end up giving tickets away to the lads on the tools (actually preferable imo).
I've even managed to take a mate and his son in the Villa box on a Boxing day game @moanjam .
Once the novelty has worn off there's no advantage to using the box for business during the week when it's not far from your local depot.

Great I'm glad you got one out of interest was it one at the front near the pitch

No mate it’s in U40 in the South Stand 6 rows up from the gangway (basically where the Roker End joins the SWC)

I was only looking for one for myself though to be fair so an individual seat is fine for me.

Your out of the rain in there I thought most of the seats that were left were the ones right at the front
