73 Cup Final Team - Then and Now

Fred

Striker
I know quite a few on here won't have Facebook, and if someone can download the video to get it straight up on here, that would be brilliant as well.

Whoever made this, well done because its beautiful.

Only my humble opinion but I think it's AI garbage. The '73 players are not a good likeness in a lot of instances.

100%

People think because I teach history that i’ll like all these historic recreations but actually it cheapens what should be a difficult skill to hone and keep sharp; picturing an environment.

It’s one of the many reasons people who do well at history are sought after in many different careers, like the police, because of the visualisation skills, however, AI slop after slop is blunting bairns ability to do this.

Bloody hell lighten up man, it's only a bit of fun.

I was going to say it’s already been posted but this has killed the thread better than I could have imagined.

There is plenty of absolutely stunning,
brilliant stuff on the archives of British Pathe, let alone You Tube, that depict great moments in Sunderland football club's glorious past, without the need to look at AI. And for those out there whose attention span hasn't diminished with too much Facebook slop, I can recommend reading a book - or for the more adventurous, newspaper archives.

Predictably, completely misses the point. It's not the likenesses that matter but the passing of time, something that is very well depicted here.
How can you say "Predictably, completely misses the point" ? Do you know me? I've already said it was my humble opinion, (not gospel), Subs Bencher. I still think it's AI garbage and a few contributors seem to agree with me. You can have your own view too though.

I think it's bloody brilliant. Maybe as I get older i'm getting more nostalgic and more emotional. Maybe thats natural. Maybe the lads from '73 just mean so much more to us because it was such a magical time. I don't care if its AI, all i know is that it moved me more than I can really express
