No mate, it isn't, no one cares about London as a location anymore, that's a myth at this point, they are after money and potential of clubs.
Newcastle was a far more attractive proposition for players than Fulham or West Ham in recent years and if Fulham will rival us over a player I bet he'll chose the better offer/potential growth of the club rather than living in one city or the other, they would live in luxury in both cases.
It's 2026, they can reach any place in the world in a few hours.

It's the Deloitte money league that Brentford are 30th but that's just the revenue of a club I think. They got 30th with £173m (€206m) in 2024/25.

This is the estimated prize money for this season and we'll be breaking top 30 this season, above Brentford, I reckon come early 2027 when the next money league is out. Note how each league position is now an extra £3.76m (was £2.7m before) so that win on the last day climbing the 3 places into 7th was worth an extra £11m alone in the kitty! We got a total £52.6m merit payment (both UK & International) which compared to the mags in 12th who got £33.8m is a canny difference. That near £19m is probably our match day revenue alone this season or a good chunk of it.

It really is at a point where being in the Premier League is what counts, as it is where all the prestige and, more importantly, money is.

Geographical location within the UK is becoming less important, as there are a lot of players in the world, and very few teams that can compete in terms of wages.

It's just me being anal as I knew what you meant in a way but I thought I'd look into it a little more as I'm a numbers freak 🤪

I still think geographical location is a factor for some players but players like this player would see us or Brentford as potential stepping stones to one of the bigger clubs, rather than rotting away on a bench of a bigger club waiting for a chance to show their potential.

He looks good but he's coming at a price and it might not work out for him.

Basically less live matches on TV. The column on the left tells you how many times we were on. It could be more next season due to potentially having less 3pm Saturday games due to being in Europe. I just googled and even being on Sky + counts the same as being on Main event which is good for us if we aren't a Super Sunday game for example.

:edit: Google may be wrong about the games being the same no matter the channel.
