New Music Releases Thread

Super Furry Animals already out on streaming. Was aware physical product was delayed a week until tomorrow, but hadn't realised until today that it was released on time digitally.

Lad  Where was this?

I can’t face being really hungover with a baby to look after the next day.
The Palatine. Half the lights were turned off. Just three blokes sat there drinking Coors in semi darkness. Had a swift John Smith's, a conversation with the blokes about Sunderland and then left. It's a bizarre location for a pub, it's in the middle of an industrial estate and all the units seem to be vape shops.

Karmanjakah - Diamond morning. Came out last Friday and I literally can't stop listening to it. Heavy and beautiful in equal measure.

There are new releases on Friday from All-American Rejects, Drake, Dua Saleh, Kevin Morby, Maisie Peters, Maluma, Rostam, Spencer Krug, The Field, Teddy Thompson, Tamikrest, Kelley Stoltz, Jeff Parker Eta IVTet, Hiding Places and Graham Reynolds.

I'm flying to New Delhi for work tomorrow so not sure how much I'll get listened to.

Posting very early due to time difference and work stuff. There are new albums on Friday from Alela Diane, Bleachers, Ed O'Brien, Future Islands, Thomas Dollbaum, Visible Cloaks, Little Barrie, Simon Joyner, Thee Marloes, David Eugene Edwards and Marisa Anderson.

Some good stuff amongst that lot!
The few tracks already out from Little Barrie are belters. Looking forward to a full album of it

Went to the BoC listening party last night, I’ll post my thoughts below but thought I’d preface it with this incase anyone didn’t want any spoilers then they can just read on -

Sadly the venue changed last minute and you could sort of tell everything was a bit rushed, especially when looking at what Tokyo, Berlin, Barca et al got. I don’t think the mix or the soundsystem was that great either with it being in a little pokey students union so I’m eager to listen to it again. That said the album was sounding good. A very even mix of the last 4 albums whilst still being its own thing. Very heavy on the vocal samples mind. The high points on the album are brilliant though, there’s a tune that reminded me a lot of everything you do is a balloon which is one of my favourites of theirs, and the album ends very strongly with the last few tracks. One of them being accompanied by its own little video which had an amazing transition to it.

Also got a load of free stuff like posters, stickers, key rings, sew on badges. Some of this stuff is already going for £300 on eBay but I’m going to try and frame mine. I also got a one off t shirt, they were also selling codes to redeem red cassettes of the album but I didn’t bother with that. All in all a canny night and probably a once in a lifetime thing getting to experience a BoC album at an official Warp listening party.
