Marco Silva.

Please let this happen.
Howe always seems to do well his first few seasons at à new club
The basis of a canny squad at Fulham and a few bob to spend
Great seeing us to do the double over NUFC but I wouldn’t lay all their demise at his door
The player sales and purchases are out of his hands
I think Staveley being pushed out of the club has weakened his authority
I dare say à move to somewhere like Fulham might suit him re his family
I think next season for us could be very very tough, so à bit of humility wouldnt go astray
What success. Did I miss them winning something?
For clubs the size of Brentford, Brighton, Fulham being ‘cemented’ in mid table mediocrity is akin to success tbf
He won’t be short of admirers

I understand that you see your role on the board as something of an agent provocateur, a Promotor Fidei, here to point out the error of our ways, hence your handle, or that's very much how your posts come across. However I was more hopeful of Scott 'Scottie' Parker being handed the reins at Newcastle if Howe leaves in respect of my op.

Howe is obviously something of a yesterday's man imho, has probably stayed a year too long with Newcastle and seems incapable or unable to change his tactics and style of play. He also from what I've read was heavily involved in the buying and selling given his nephew is chief negotiator and also apparently was directly involved in ousting Mitchell, then DoF iirc. But he's, again imho, still streets ahead of 'Scottie', who's Howe but a bit shitter.

It's unlikely that Howe will jump ship as my feeling is he'll have a point to prove next season and will be hoping that he can win back the fans. It's a risky gamble which depends on all sorts of variables some of whom aren't in his control. Not ruling out that he may decide to clear out IF the right offer came in but I think Fulham will be looking for a more adaptable and technically astute manager than Beheaddie. No need for "humility" in thinking that.

'Scottie' imho would be a disaster for the mags going off his track record, hence my wish to see him there. But I think even the board at the Mosque on the Mound wouldn't be daft enough to appoint him and the majority of the orcs simply wouldn't accept anything less than one of the merry go round, 'big name' European managers if Howe were to call it a day at SidJames.

Not a chance in hell that the mags have Parker on their managerial shortlist.

I actually thought they might have gone for Silva but they seem content with beheddie right now.

Benfica is a great move for Silva mind be interesting to see who Fulham go for.

Agree about Parker but the meltdoon would be titanic hence my comment originally, and I do say the same in my last post.

It's interesting that Silva has decided that he'd rather drop his money and lose some of the prestige associated with the PL to go and challenge for titles back in his own country. Is it because he wants to build a legacy for himself that he'll not get the opportunity to do in England or just he prefers his sardines fresher and pastéis de nata warm from the bakery? Think he'll do really well at a big club like Benfica.
