RAWA May Collective Meeting Minutes

Home and away fans mixed together.

Sounds awful IMO and will end in tears anyway.

We don't want to be turning our atmosphere into a rugby type affair.
This cannot be considered serious. You would need permission from the authorities and the PL are not at the top of that list. You then have to find a visiting club who would be willing to be part of it. If that was me I would refuse because of the chance of rival fans engaging in violence. "Not my club". Even if the risk is very small it is still too much. The fallout nationally could be very costly.

Surely “non segregation” doesn’t mean fans fully mixed. Given the season ticket holders all with a reserved seat, which basically fills the entire lower bowl give or take random seats here and there, that wouldn’t even be possible would it.

Not to mention it’s an embarrassing soft as fuck idea that is entirely the opposite of the partisan football culture we want to promote. Would kill any atmosphere and just isn’t appropriate for football. Christ I am cringing just thinking about it.

Surely it just means not having a bank of empty seats between the two sections of fans.

A membership scheme will be introduced in the summer. It will be built to service fans locally & across the world, with both free & paid options.

My concern with that is, a day tripper from abroad is more valuable to the club than someone like me who's had a season ticket for donkey years.

My net spend with the club is my season ticket and the odd bit of merch. I don't buy any food or drink in the ground.

Bob brings his family from abroad for the match. They all get kitted out in the club shop, buy souvenirs to take home, buy food and drink in the ground and so on. Their net spend is much higher than mine.

Repeat Bob with different "tourist" supporters over the course of the season and the money is a great deal more than what I'm spending.

I don't know if it would happen, but I would hate to see loyal fans get priced out for the tourists.

Doubt very much she'd be able to confirm that.

That's exactly where we're heading and the European football has accelerated it.

I didn't know if it meant mixing outside of the ground but apart from high profile games like the mags, that happens anyway, usually without incident. There were several groups of Chelsea fans in the Fans Museum before the last match enjoying the atmosphere.

Still staggers me seeing £610 home tickets being bought like.

Surely someone asked for some clarification or the context was evident from chat before or after?

Are these actually meetings or just statements from the club without any discussion?
Despite your overly big words, if that person wasn't in attendance, how would they know?
That’s why I am asking someone with direct contact to people who were in attendance - she can ask them

I'm not sure fans, particularly those with season cards, would be less valuable or priced out. It's just another way of generating income for the club, my son has a membership at City and I bought one this season, it allows us to get tickets when it reaches the phase our membership kicks in.

The tourists are never going to be buying up season cards or thousands of tickets.

Did any questions regarding what is needed for ID checks, what happens if ID checks are failed and why we can't produce a list of numbers of how many fans have what loyalty points get asked in the other ticketing meeting?
Pretty disappointing if asked in neither as it was raised by several people on here.

Also the fact the fee for changing season tickets seat was highlighted as being £20 rather than £40 and it appears they think that's ok shows where we are at now.

There's one seat that has been a ST in the north stand behind the goal that has not been used since L1 until this season, but has always been unavailable. We tried to buy it.

This season, it's been used.

Surely they just mean no segregation in the stands. Like the away end will still be the same , but no extra stewards and nothing stopping home and away fans crossing over into other section for whatever bizarre reason they'd want to do that for?

Sounds like a madcap marketing campaign to try and generate social media clicks and attention, without them actually having to do anything other than hire less stewards.

Would probably work fine against Fulham, Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton. I just don't see the point in it. Imagine if it was a nasty game on the field with a last minute winner and there ended up being pockets of bother in the stands.

An utterly stupid suggestion by someone at the club who has zero idea what they are talking about when it comes to footy. I'm amazed it wasn't challenged at the meeting
