Konate - an improvement for us?

There's about much chance as me running out for the Lads as Konate. He's not had a great year but to be fair, there's only really Szoboszlai and the young lad Rio Ngumoha who would be deserving of any credit. The year before last, he was probably one of the best defenders in Europe.

Well 4mil a year is 80k a week for a start. Xhaka is on around 120-140k a week.
 
Sometimes people need to stop and ask themselves, is this a realistic transfer or am I maybe a tiny bit delusional about our current place in world football?

Zero chance.
 
When on form he can be a great defender, powerful quick...but he regularly has games where his brain seems to switch off, and he stumbles around like he's the real Konate's partially-sighted twin brother covering for him because he's on holiday. Not sure he'll ever get rid of that, and I think Real will tire of him when it happens in a big game or two.
