Parking tips for stadium concerts

Any advice on this? Colleagues at work is driving through from Newcastle for Take That and wanted my local knowledge or advice. My local advice is that SR6 is God’s own country and you can walk easily from there, so I’m not much use. Where’s good to park if someone’s trying to exit toward Tyneside afterwards? Into town and use the Farringdon Row multi-storey? Fulwell and walk it?

Are your colleagues Newcastle fans? If so, there's a lovely back lane near The Charlton's in Hendon.

If they're not Newcastle fans, anywhere near Roker, as has been suggested, is best.

Everton fan, so sound - no way I’d send her down to the Charlton’s. Unless she’s nostalgic for home :)

Roker it is, I guess. Just wondered if there was anywhere else.

Given where they're going, I'd park up around Pulman Seat ., southwick , Abbey Street is just the gable ends of houses . 10 minute walk to Sol . Not the greatest area but I've never had an issue

Good advice here , just beware of the permit parking limits start about 50 yards away .

Easy get away to North Hylton Road and round towards Testos roundabout in about 10 minutes.

I knew someone from Leeds who parked down Roker for the last take that concerts and it took him 90 minutes to hit the A19.

According to the signage, there's also a Park & Walk in operation which is basically the same as a match day, i.e. park in the Enterprise Park.
This,
Tell them to park on Hylton retail park, closest to the QA bridge they can get if they don't want much of a walk. Or the other end of they don't mind a walk and want to be closer to the 1231 and A19.
Not sure if the uni is offering car parking?

Must've attempted to get across to Wessington Way it taking that long surely?

Roker is fine, as long as you head North and join at Testo's or Boldon (cut by ASDA) depending where your heading.

Park Deptford and use the keel crossing.

Straight onto the 1231 and over the new road bridge missing almost all of the traffic on wessington way. Alternatively go the same way but instead of crossing the water go through pennywell to get to the A19.

He can park on my drive and I will drive him to the stadium.

His car will be secure and I will pick him up after the gig and bring him back to my home.

£500.

The area around the Cambridge should be okay. Swift exit up Fulwell Road, Dovedale Road then Shields Road to East Boldon then yem.
